Pre-marriage Courses

When you get to know me, you will soon learn that one of my passions is to prevent issues ever arising and to help people to navigate the complexities of life without ever ending up in the therapists office (or field, or stable!) 

So, why wouldn't I take the opportunity to steal one of the best ideas that the Catholic church ever came up with - and make it better?

In this area we use the horses to establish so much of the non-verbal communication that couples are going to face in the duration of their relationship and seek to avoid them becoming issues further down the path. 

We look at your hopes, your dreams, your fears, you excitement and seek to weave a relationship where two whole people are loved and appreciated for what you both bring to the relationship - but are also taught how to be yourselves and grow together - relationships are not of two halves making one, but two ones making wonders. 

There are no discussions off the table and we look at family of origin and how that social upbringing is going to bring so many different ways of looking at things into the marriage - we even talk about the "outlaws" and the boundaries that may need to be introduced - and the best ways of doing them to keep the peace!

These events are designed to be a celebration of your love and commitment by taking your relationship seriously, addressing the issues that often cause problems, hearing openly about each other and how much you can grow together in an empathetic, loving and caring relationship which will last through the changes and challenges to come.
