Sunshine naps ...
and cow cuddles!

Going off brand on the photo today to show how my super cuddly cow can curl up on herself - even at this stage of pregnancy - to show how much she's enjoying the sun and grass on the kitchen paddock!
With a new friend of a magpie just wandering into the scene as well ....
She's not so chuffed about being groomed at the moment, but she does enjoy her naps and, well, who doesn't after the long wet winter - the horses are in the next field over and all four of them were flat out in the sunshine at the top of the field too.
It's beautiful though for me too - not only watching the joys of nature from the kitchen window, but also, when she's not asleep or wandering around eating, she lies in a more "normal" position quietly chewing the cud and she really does have a lovely dark face mask which shows her intelligence and gentleness to it's best.
We're throwing alot of heifer dust around here just now - a few more weeks to go before she calves - and I am thinking of doing a "pre-calving diary" vlog - so hopefully you'll get to see alot more of her in the coming weeks - and see why she's such a star of the cow cuddling community!
